Ayurvedic Herbs India Ayurveda

Any Ayurveda experts out there?
My dear East Indian friends,
I have been reading a lot about Ayurveda. I believe I have a huge Vata imbalance. All the test say that I am Vata-Pita. My mind is very restless, curious and active and I get anxious when we are about to enter the winter season. What are your best suggestions to pacify the Vata (diet, herbs, lifestyle….) I know that in India there are many good Ayurvedic practitioners but I live in a small town where people have not even heard of Ayurveda.
Namaste and thank you
Hi, I am a Ayurvedic student and am soon becoming a practitioner. If you’re experiencing a Vata imbalance you should do the following:
Lifestyle: regular consistent habits, quiet time, sesame oil massages, plenty of rest, warmth, lots of fluids, avoid stress, steady nourishment.
Diet: warm, cooked, moist, heavy foods. Scheduled meals. Add spices to regulate digestion. Avoid cold drinks and food. Avoid coffee and caffeine teas. Take a mild laxative such as Triphala or flax seed. You can add flax seed to all your meals.
Mediation: regularly scheduled, no attachments to results
Self Massage: sesame oil 3-5 times weekly. Feet, top of head, back and lower abdomen are good.
Additional: Avoid staying up late, avoid wind and cold, dress warm, mild exercise – walking, swimming, yoga, avoid excess talking or thinking, moderate sex, minimize travel, avoid tv, quite smooth music. If you need further help. Let me know.
